Teflon heaters are designed for the direct electric heating of fluids in systems and vessels that require small mounting dimensions, high heating powers and an excellent resistance to liquids of aggressive processes. The chemical resistance of the heating cable is guaranteed by a coating made of EFF or PFA. The surface load is only 1 W/cm2.
The PFA coating should be chosen under particularly critical conditions of use with extremely aggressive process liquids (e.g. Chromium acid electrolytes) and at a very high temperatures.
The different build forms and variants of available heating elements can easily solve even difficult application situations.
Their small size and high heating power allow their installation in small spaces. The use of high quality materials guarantees a long service life, an optimum reliability and thus ensures a problem-free operation of the system.
The heating elements are made of a heating metal wire, with FEP/PFA coating, wrapped on a flexible PP or PVDF support frame. Also fasteners and spacers that avoid the direct contact between the coils and with the tank are made of PP/PVDF.
In order to improve the mechanical resistance a PP/PVDF steel frame or a PP/PVDF strong frame can be mounted. A PP or PVDF protection plate protects the heating element from mechanical shocks. The unheated connecting cable is FEP/PFA coated up to the connecting sleeve and it is fixed in a PP tube. This part can be immersed in the process liquid. In this area, you will find the min/max depth mark for immersion. Even if the liquid level has high variations, it must always be within the limit markings. The PCV connecting cable coming from the PCV sleeve (IP64) can be connected in the electrical panel. The connecting sleeve should not be immersed in the process liquid and should not be exposed to direct vapours.
